IMG_9819I was so excited to try this place. We have their cookbook at home! (GUSH). So we grab dinner on the early side (they don’t take reservations) and it’s a good thing we do because the place fills up quickly!

IMG_9813Laminated menus are handed to us and you check off what you want with a black marker. You can’t mix and match your meats, but if you want to go that route, try the sliders. The table next to us is giggling over the “naked balls”.

IMG_9814The Smash – 2 Balls smashed on a toasted brioche bun with choice of sauce + mozzarella or provolone cheese served with a small side salad – $9. Add a “family jewel” (fried egg) for $1. We had the classic meat with classic tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.

IMG_9815The classic beef “naked balls” with classic tomato sauce – meatballs served with a stick of focaccia bread – $7.

IMG_9816With a side of rigatoni ($5) which can be served “under your balls or on the side”. Plain and simple and yet wonderfully delicious!

IMG_9817We also tried the risotto of the day with corn and delicious herbs.


And just for fun we try the chicken slider (delicious) in the spicy meat sauce. Love this place – the food was filling and the price was right. Our waiter was great in the beginning when we had his full attention, but by the time it started filling up, he was stressed and in the weeds. Good meal over all, casual and tasty – we would definitely go back again.
